Boring birds

These birds were having a huge fight! As soon as I began recording them, though, they all calmed down. You can hear me breathing angrily. It was frustrating as all hell! Once I stopped recording, they all flew away! Damn birds.

Quick geocaching update

Yesterday, I found a geocache in Rhode Island with my father. Today, I found one close to work. They were #18 and #19 for me, respectively. With any luck, I’ll make it to 20 finds this week! Info on my geocaching page, as usual.

My video game backlog

As I’ve been promising on Twitter for quite some time now, here is the list of games I need to beat. These are only Xbox 360 games, as I don’t currently have a backlog on other systems (at least not one that I care about, or can remember). As I complete games on the list, I will post updates.

I decided to write a quick little blog entry about my upcoming Let’s Plays. My schedule for the rest of 2010 is set in stone, and I’ve decided to announce it here for the benefit of the people who read my website.

The following are the Let’s Plays I will be doing, in order, for the rest of 2010:

  • Beavis & Butt-head (Genesis)
  • Boogerman (Genesis)
  • Super Mario World NES Revisited (NES, recorded live)
  • Sonic 2 Delta (Genesis, recorded live)
  • Obsidian (PC)

If I manage to finish all of that well before 2010 is over, I may include additional filler LPs, Quickies, etc.

All of my LPs for the rest of 2010 shall feature a BRAND NEW introduction created by Tatsudoshi of Multipurpose Spam and Multipurpose Reviews! The intro still features the Teddy Ruxpin theme, but it is a version of it you’ve surely never heard before. Be sure to check out Multipurpose Reviews, by the way. Besides being awesome in general, I have more or less officially teamed up with them. There are a few videos on the site which feature me, and I will be producing additional content for the site which will come under the official Multipurpose Reviews banner. It’s very exciting times for me!

Lastly, I will be officially abandoning the Teddy Ruxpin intro for my LPs beginning in 2011. Be on the lookout for another brand new intro!

The best geocache a man can get!

Today during my lunch break, I went for a stroll along Boston’s Harbor Walk, and found a geocache in the general vicinity of the Gillette World Headquarters building. (Heh. Did you know Gillette is headquartered in Boston? Well, either way, now you do.) You can find the log and other info on my geocaching page as usual.

My first “puzzle cache” found!

Today is the first day I’ve been geocaching since returning from NYAF/NYCC, and I decided to try my luck at a “puzzle cache”. These are caches where the listed GPS coordinates do not point to the cache itself; instead, you must solve a puzzle to figure out the real coordinates. Sometimes the listed coordinates will get you to the general area (such as a nearby parking lot), but sometimes they’re just in the vague vicinity of the cache, so you can still find it via search. In this case, the coordinates were a few miles from the actual cache. The puzzle was related to “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” and was therefore quite easy for me to solve! It was a fun, quick find on the MIT campus in Cambridge. I’ve added the information to my geocaching page. This is my 16th find!

PCP Station Review (with Super Mary)

I recently got my hands on a PCP Station, and it just so happens to have a WORKING copy of the infamous Super Mary! I brought the unit with me when I visited New York with Tatsudoshi, SpazzyKoneko, and imKagamine. Tatsu thought it would be fun to throw together a review of this abomination, and I agreed, so here it is.

This was recorded from our hotel room at New York Anime Festival 2010.
